Spieth praises For the Love of the Lake group

The Flag Pole Hill Inclusive Playground project was For the Love of the Lake’s (FTLOTL) 20th Anniversary project, first proposed in 2015. FTLOTL’s then president Liz Akins wrote the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation for a grant, then shepherded this project along until its completion. Jordan Spieth (pictured with Akin on the left and Chris and Ellie Spieth, Jordan’s mother and sister) thanked FTLOTL specifically for this wonderful endeavor. FTLOTL’s mission is to preserve Dallas’ urban oasis, White Rock Lake Park. It is a non-profit organization whose volunteers support programs to preserve and enhance the park. The group organizes monthly clean-up activities, collaborates with Dallas Park and Recreation to host volunteers for tree planting events and raises money needed to fund improvements, all to benefit White Rock Lake Park. — From Staff Reports
