The Grief and Loss Center of North Texas is hosting its second annual Hope After Loss Charity Golf Tournament, Monday, Sept. 30 at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland. The Grief and Loss Center, located in the heart of White Rock, provides individual grief support, group grief support, SAM’s place (a program designed to help kids cope with the death of a loved one in a safe, caring setting), workshops and seminars, speakers and school on-campus grief groups to those experiencing the loss of a loved one. With the help of proceeds from last year’s golf tournament, The Center recently acquired Hope, an emotional support beagle in-training. Hope is undergoing training to help provide happiness to the Center’s program participants. All services are provided free of charge. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $50.
