Wilkinson Center — a nonprofit agency transforming the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to success with dignity and respect — announces the second annual Pantry in the Park, on Friday, Oct. 18, from 6-10 p.m. at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, located at 8525 Garland Road, Dallas, 75218. Longstanding supporters Jenn and OJ DeSouza (pictured) and Laura Ailshire will serve as this year’s co-chairs. Touted as an “elevated garden party with a purpose,” Pantry in the Park will include a VIP reception, cocktails, savory food stations, a DJ, a unique silent auction and more, while learning more about the great work Wilkinson Center is doing in the community. Born and raised in Dallas, OJ DeSouza is the president of Signature Baking Company, a family company founded in 1978. In addition to supporting Wilkinson Center for more than a decade, including currently serving as vice president on the Board of Directors, he has also served on the alumni board of Episcopal School of Dallas, his high school alma mater. Jenn DeSouza was born and raised in Colleyville and manages accounting and finance for Signature Baking Company. She is also active in the community, most recently serving on the host committee for Ascend Dallas, in addition to taking care of the couple’s two beautiful children, with a third on the way. Tickets are available at thewilkinsoncenter.org. — Kristi Bare
