Free in-person tax help is available Feb. 5 – April 16. The Dallas Public Library partners with AARP Tax-Aide to offer free in-person tax assistance through trained volunteers. Assistance is geared toward people with low-to-moderate income, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. People interested in receiving assistance should bring W-2 forms, last year’s tax return, Social Security cards for all dependents and photo I.D.
