Artisans offer plant sale during event

WHITE ROCK EAST GARDEN TOUR

By Melissa Dermarkar

What could be more fun than spending a Sunday strolling in some of the most beautiful gardens in Dallas?

A total of nine creative gardens in Forest Hills, Little Forest Hills and Casa Linda Estates will be showcased featuring peaceful retreats, large organic gardens, water features, lavish outdoor entertaining venues and incredible landscaping, trees and flowers on Sunday, May 16.

Visitors will pick up a map of all the locations upon arrival at the first garden.

It will inspire others to work in their own gardens. In addition to these dedicated gardeners, these neighborhoods are home to many talented artists who will have their unique creations for sale in the gardens. Come check out the fun and funky art!

The annual Plant Sale at Casa Linda Park on Alta Mira, which coincided with the garden tour, is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The sale will accept cash or credit cards. Visitors will pick up a map of all the locations upon arrival at the first garden.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, masks will be required at all gardens regardless of your personal beliefs or vaccine status, and social distancing will be encouraged and appreciated.

The garden tour is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults. Children under 12 are free.

Visit the White Rock East Garden Tour website for tickets, location of the gardens and other information at whiterockgardentour.org.
