Critical funding being distributed

Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson just announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded more than $500 thousand in federal grants to Dallas community health centers to expand capacity for Coronavirus testing.

▪ Parkland Health & Hospital System (Dallas County): $230,209
▪ Mission East Dallas: $143,344
▪ Foremost Family Health Centers (Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Clinic): $207,154

“For our communities to withstand this coronavirus pandemic, we must expand testing through all avenues possible,” said Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson. “I’m pleased this critical funding has been distributed to support our Dallas area community health centers to fight COVID-19, specifically to purchase, administer and expand capacity for testing.”

Fiscal year (FY) 2020 Expanding Capacity for Coronavirus Testing (ECT) award provides one-time funding to support health centers to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus (COVID-19).
