Dallas shelter dogs ready to run for fun

Dallas Animal Services (DAS) is launching the Dallas90 Dog Runners program, which will allow current DAS volunteers the opportunity to go running with an adoptable dog! This program is a win-win: the dogs get exercise and socialization, which makes them happier, healthier and more adoptable, while volunteers get to enjoy a fun run with a delightful pooch. If you’re interested in becoming one of our first Dallas90 Dog Runners, become a DAS volunteer today by visiting the site dallascityhall.com/departments/dallas-animal-services/Pages/Volunteer-at-DAS.aspx. If you’re not quite ready to run, but want to support this exciting new effort, visit DAS’s Amazon wish list to donate the supplies needed to get the program up and “running.” These supplies include dog harnesses, special leashes, collapsible water bowls, flashing lighted dog tags and more! — Dallas Animal Services
