Warrior spirit was high on Friday afternoon at Lakehill Preparatory School’s annual Tailgate Pep Rally. The Varsity cheerleaders pumped up the crowd as teams and coaches were introduced. Special guests included first graders Zoe Lavie and Rowan Redstone (pictured above) and third grader Aidan Deason. As Lakehill’s “Cheerleaders for the Day,” Zoe and Rowan performed with the Varsity squad at the Pep Rally as well as at the game Friday night. As the “Warrior for the Day,” Aidan joined the football team for the Pep Rally and on the sidelines with the team at the game. Lakehill held its annual Tailgate Party before the Warriors’ Varsity Football game against Bulverde Bracken. Hundreds of fans gathered at the Warrior Athletic Complex to enjoy the pre-game festivities. The Lakehill Dads’ Club fired up the grill, preparing hot dogs generously donated by Rudolph’s Meat Market & Sausage Factory to feed the hungry crowd. The Lakehill Warrior Varsity Football team took down defending State Champions Bulverde Bracken, 48-20. With the victory, Lakehill moved into the fourth spot in State Rankings. — Gigi Ekstrom
