The Dallas Mavericks announced this week the launch of MavsTV, the team’s official new telecast destination for the 2024-25 NBA season. In its inaugural season, MavsTV will carry more than 70 games not exclusively televised nationally directly to fans within the team’s local broadcast footprint, for free over-the-air on WFAA Ch. 8 and KFAA Ch. 29. Fans can also access MavsTV via the new subscription-based streaming service powered by the NBA’s Next Gen integrated digital platform inside the NBA App. A new MavsTV app, with game coverage, exclusive footage and original on-demand content, will launch later this season.
“We have been waiting for this moment for a long time,” said Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall. “We are thrilled to offer multiple options for our fans who deserve seamless, enjoyable viewing experiences.”
Starting Saturday, Oct. 26 with the Mavs vs. Suns game, fans in the Mavericks’ approved region, throughout Texas and parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma, will be able to stream all Mavs games not nationally televised via the NBA app, NBA.com and all NBA supported assets. This streaming option will be available to fans via a monthly pass for $14.99 or a season-long pass for $124.99. For a limited time only and while supplies last, fans subscribing to a season-long pass will have the option of selecting either a pair of tickets to an upcoming Mavs game or a $75 Mavs merchandise gift card, as a complimentary gift to accompany their season-long subscription. MFFLs can visit mavs.com/mavstv to subscribe now.
With more than 80 years of Mavs broadcast experience and 40 Emmys combined, the beloved MavsTV crew includes Mark Followill, Mavericks legends Derek Harper and Devin Harris, Dana Larson, Lesley McCaslin and Jeff “Skin” Wade. In addition to the all-star team, a rotation of guest analysts and Mavs legends will join the desk on a regular basis.
Mavs legend and radio sportscaster Brad Davis announced his retirement from the radio broadcast this summer. As one of only four former Mavericks players with their jerseys retired, Davis has provided game commentary since 1997. This season on The Eagle 97.1 FM, Chuck Cooperstein will call the play-by-play action with Brian Dameris providing radio analysis for all regular and postseason games. Zona MX 99.1 FM will broadcast games in Spanish with legendary play-by-play announcer Victor Villalba. For the full schedule and how to watch MavsTV, visit mavs.com/broadcast.
