“We are proud to present Home for the Holidays for the 35th year in a row, thanks to our longtime partnership with NorthPark Center,” said SPCA of Texas president and CEO Chris Luna, J.D.

“This holiday program brings joy to the community and allows hundreds of pets to find loving homes during such a special time of the year.

“Home for the Holidays also showcases two very special partner organizations — the American Institute of Architects Dallas and TEXO, The Construction Association. This year marks our 11th annual collaboration with them to support vulnerable pets in North Texas. I look forward each year to seeing the amazing designs and constructions these creative professionals contribute to the SPCA of Texas through ‘Bark + Build.’”

This year, the public will have the chance to purchase raffle tickets in hopes of winning one of the doghouses or cat condos. Raffle tickets are $25 each, or six for $100. Tickets can be purchased at home25@givesmart.com through Tuesday, Dec. 23. Proceeds benefit the SPCA of Texas and its mission to create a brighter future for animals, people, and the community.

Home for the Holidays events are open to the public from Noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. “Bark + Build” is located on Level Two in AMC Court. The “Adoption Pavilion” is on the first floor between Macy’s and Dillard’s and will feature all cats and kittens in the upper kennels on Saturdays and Sundays only through December 23, in addition to dogs in the lower kennels. Dogs will be available every day in the “Adoption Pavilion.”

“Bark + Build” pairs generous members of AIA Dallas and TEXO, the Construction Association to design and build innovative dog houses and cat condos for the design competition and raffle portion of Home for the Holidays. Twenty-two “Bark + Build” structures are on display at NorthPark Center from Friday, Nov. 28 through Tuesday, Dec. 23.
