The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce welcomed educators, community leaders, business partners and supporters from across East Dallas on May 13 for its annual Teacher of the Year Awards celebration at Waters Edge Winery and Bistro. The Teacher of the Year Awards event is hosted annually by the Chamber to recognize K-12 educators who demonstrate exceptional professional practice and a commitment to meeting the needs of all students. While many deserving educators were nominated across several categories celebrating excellence in teaching, innovation, leadership and community engagement, six were selected as the 2026 Teacher of the Year recipients for their exceptional commitment to making a lasting impact on students throughout the East Dallas community. Each recipient received a $500 cash award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to education.
