Okra takes over The Lot

Promise of Peace Gardens raising funds for local school children and their families

Okrapalooza 2018 is this Sunday, Sept. 9 at The Lot in East Dallas. This is the ninth year the Promise of Peace Community Gardens have brought together Dallas’ top chefs to cook off for the best okra dish while raising funds to give our most fragile community members access to high-quality, nutritious food. There will be live music, including Mack Price and Mack Price, Jr. (pictured below), local beer, and all the great food that one could wish for, including incredible okra tastings and summer side dishes. The theme is The Beatles. Children under 12 are free. Come and experience one of the best food and music festivals in Dallas. The event is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The Lot is located at 7530 East Grand Ave. in Dallas.
