Audience vote will choose chili winner

KNON 89.3 FM presents the 6th Annual Chili Cook Off and Concert on Sunday, June 23 at Poor David’s Pub. The event features a Turlingua Sanctioned Chili Cook Off where Tolbert’s Rules apply. Live musical acts include The Squeeze Box Bandits, Left Arm Tan and Ej Matthews. Love and War Texas! will be serving their famous chili for patrons to sample. New this year is the Hormel vs. Wolf Brand Chili tasting contest. The people will decide who has the better chili: Wolf Brand from Texas, or Hormel from Minnesota. Also added this year is a People’s Choice Chili Cook Off. Any and all types of chili are accepted. Get your chili registered today! People’s Choice Cookoff has no rules except you must bring enough chili for at least 75 people to sample and vote for you. KNON will provide 4 oz. cups to use for chili samples.
