Center benefits from chamber holiday party

The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce (GEDCC) partnered with EDENS and Casa Linda Plaza merchants for the annual tree lighting and holiday party held on Monday, Dec. 2 at Casa Linda Plaza. The event was organized by the Live Local Committee of the Chamber.

The community event provided food and gift specials throughout the center and activities for kids, including petting zoo, photos taken with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, local choirs singing, train rides, balloon artists, face painting, local food retailers, drinks and hot chocolate. 

Proceeds from the evening benefitted the Wilkinson Center, a non-profit whose mission is to transform the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect. 

A $5,000 check from EDENS and GEDCC was presented to Executive Director Daley Ryan. 

Sponsors for the event were: Summerhill Pools, Inc., Elle Realty-Gwen Worrell, Americas Credit Union and St. John’s Episcopal School. The train was sponsored by Mike Nurre and Jenny Capritta RE/MAX DFW Associates.
