Family trail walk part of race day fun

On you marks, get set, go! The 2019 Run the Highlands begins on April 27 at 8:30 a.m. on Church Road in front of Lake Highlands High School. Sponsored by the Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League, the race is a certified 10k and 5k, and is timed using state-of-the-art electronic timing. Special awards are given to the top overall and masters male and female finishers. There will also be a Family Trail Walk path along the Lake Highlands Trail in the neighborhood. A carnival takes place immediately following the completion and is located on the lawn and parking lot of the Lake Highlands North Recreation Center.
