Group raising funds for new police eBikes

Neighbors are working to raise funds to provide eBikes for the Dallas Police Department officers who patrol the White Rock Lake and the surrounding trails. Each fully equipped eBike costs $5,788 and comes ready for patrol with lights, sirens, a custom police bag, a water bottle cage and a five-year extended warranty. The DPD already uses eBikes in downtown Dallas, so they’re well-prepared to integrate these into the lake patrol, including providing training and ongoing service.
