“Real food, served by real people, in a real environment.” That is Flatbread Company’s goal. The Massachusetts-based restaurant just opened its sixteenth location, in Dallas. Hundreds of neighbors and community members gathered for the grand opening this past week. Located at the end of Lowest Greenville Ave., Flatbread’s mission is to become an integral part of the community through its sustained actions. Each Tuesday, Flatbread will hold a benefit night, donating a portion of each flatbread sold to a local nonprofit organization. Flatbread sources organic food from local farms, producers and the community. The flatbreads are baked in huge mounds of earth and fire, which owners say “produce incredible tasting pizza.” — Nancy Black
