Dallas Bike Ride returns Saturday, May 16 after a celebrated return last year that drew thousands of riders of all ages. Starting at 8 a.m., the city’s only car-free social ride is a fun, family-friendly celebration of cycling and community, welcoming an expected 5,000 riders to cruise at their own pace past some of Dallas’ most iconic landmarks.

Riding the momentum of its return last year, the Dallas Bike Ride continues to grow as the city prepares for the global attention of hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Through partnerships with the Dallas Bicycle Coalition, Bike Friendly South Dallas, and BikeDFW, the event advances bicycling education and advocacy while investing in a healthier, more connected Dallas. A portion of proceeds directly supports efforts to create safer, more inclusive biking opportunities citywide.

“Seeing thousands of riders of all ages unite last year was incredibly energizing and a true reminder of how much Dallas embraces this event,” said Chris Browne, Managing Director of Dallas Bike Ride. “We’re excited to build on that momentum and invite the community to experience the city in a way you simply can’t on any other day of the year. From first-time riders to seasoned cyclists, Dallas Bike Ride is about coming together, celebrating our neighborhoods, and creating an inclusive, fun, and memorable experience.”

Participants enjoy a 20-mile festive, car-free ride with rest stops, live music, and photo moments through iconic Dallas landmarks and neighborhoods including Reunion Tower, the JFK Memorial, Uptown, the Bishop Arts District, and the Design District culminating at City Hall for the Methodist Dallas Finish Festival featuring live music, food trucks, a beverage garden and family-friendly fun. A shorter 10-mile route is also available.

Dallas Bike Ride also welcomes the support of the Methodist Dallas Medical Center, the Dallas Sports Commission, Downtown Dallas Inc., and Uptown Dallas Inc., whose collective efforts help make this citywide celebration possible.

“After seeing the incredible energy and community turnout at last year’s Dallas Bike Ride, we’re proud to support the event again in an even bigger way this year,” said John Phillips, FACHE, president of Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

“Hosting the Finish Festival at City Hall allows us to celebrate thousands of riders while showcasing our commitment to health, wellness, and connection across Dallas. This event brings people of all ages together in a powerful way, and we’re excited to be part of its continued growth.”

Before the May 16 event, attendees are invited to join the Packet Pickup Party on Friday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The celebration includes entertainment, refreshments, and exclusive offerings from Dallas Bike Ride partners. Riders will also have the chance to get a free bike safety check and gear up at the Official Dallas Bike Ride Merch Shop.

Dallas Bike Ride also offers convenient and affordable bike rentals to help make bicycling more accessible for those who don’t own a bike, out of town visitors, or groups looking for a fun outing.
