Bach is back! Mockingbird Station welcomes Bach in the Subways, a derivative of “Music on Mockingbird,” for a special concert featuring music from famous musician Johann Sebastian Bach in collaboration with WRR Classical 101 and KERA, University Crossing and Bridge the Gap Chamber Players, a music organization comprised of musicians from Southern Methodist University. In celebration of Bach’s 338th birthday, Bridge the Gap, along with orchestra students from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and members of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, will join thousands of musicians across the world on Thursday, March 30 from 4-6 p.m. for the annual tradition of performing Bach in public — subways, parks, cafés, zoos and other public spaces — while declining donations. Complimentary sub sandwiches will be provided by New York Sub in Highland Park. Mockingbird Station is located at 5307 E. Mockingbird Ln. in Dallas. — Vaughn McLeod
