By Britt Carman

This year’s eighth annual edition of the iconic Lone Star NYE at Reunion Tower, presented by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (AC-CCSWB) show, will give viewers a journey through the decades from the 1920s to today. The fireworks, light and drone show will be a homage to the decades, displaying iconic images, colors and music that promise to bring back memories from past New Year’s Eve celebrations. The show begins Sunday, Dece. 31, at precisely 11:59 p.m.

This year’s New Year’s Eve celebration starts with an exhilarating “count up” to midnight, transitioning into the iconic 1920s hit, “Old Lang Syne.” To enhance the experience, nostalgic sound effects include radio tuning, record changes, the Apollo 11 landing, and even the unmistakable internet dial tone, adding a delightful touch of history to the festivities. The grand finale features a thrilling medley of two chart-topping songs that debuted this year.

For the past seven years, Reunion Tower, in collaboration with Hunt Realty Investments, Inc., has made the downtown Dallas sky come alive on New Year’s Eve with a breathtaking display featuring more than 5,000 pyrotechnic special effects launched from Reunion Tower, a stunning 259 LED light display and nearly 300 drones, making it a truly one-of-a-kind event.

Adding to the New Year’s Eve festivities, NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth / KXAS will broadcast “Lone Star NYE: Countdown to 2024” throughout North Texas from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on December 31, in cooperation with Nexstar Media Group Inc., which will extend its reach to additional markets across the country. Dallas’ No. 1 radio station, The Spot (98.7 FM), will simulcast the celebration, ensuring it remains one of the city’s most beloved annual events.

AC-CCSWB is in its second year as the event’s title sponsor. The company is one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the United States. CCSWB produces, markets and distributes Coca-Cola brands throughout Texas and parts of New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The company employs more than 8,500 associates who operate seven production plants and 37 distribution facilities, serving more than 31 million consumers.

Crown Block, Reunion Tower’s new restaurant, and the Hyatt Regency Dallas Hotel have a variety of experiences for registered guests scheduled throughout the holiday weekend.
