Park Party set for October 8

In less than one month, Klyde Warren Park’s annual signature fundraiser, Party in the Park Presented by PwC, will return, bringing together Dallas philanthropists, business leaders and community members in support of the Park. 

Now in its 14th year, the highly anticipated event on Thursday, Oct.8, will be led by Honorary Chair Laurie Sands Harrison, alongside Event Chairs Caroline Harrison Loehr and Gavin Loehr, Francis Harrison and Manuel Brito and Bailey Harrison.

“Klyde Warren Park is such a meaningful place for our family and for the Dallas community,” said Honorary Chair Laurie Sands Harrison. “It’s where people come together, from families and friends to visitors experiencing the city for the first time. We’re honored to support this event and help ensure this incredible space continues to thrive for generations to come.”

 Party in the Park, a celebration of all that Klyde Warren Park represents, will highlight the Park’s transformative impact on Dallas since opening in 2012. 

Connecting Uptown, Downtown and the Dallas Arts District and framed by the downtown skyline, the Park welcomes more than two million visitors each year and serves as the city’s town square.

“We attend Party in the Park each year and have always loved what Klyde Warren Park brings to Dallas,” said Event Chair Caroline Harrison Loehr, co-founder of The Compass School.

“After partnering with the Park on Family Night, we’ve seen firsthand the impact it has on families across the community,” added Event Chair Francis Harrison, also co-founder of The Compass School. “We’re excited to serve as chairs and help make this year’s event a special and meaningful evening.”

The evening will feature a lively cocktail reception presented by First United Bank, followed by a casually elegant dinner and celebration under the stars presented by the Texas Stock Exchange.

“Party in the Park is a wonderful celebration of the community that makes Klyde Warren Park so special,” said Klyde Warren Park president and CEO Calvert Collins-Bratton. 

“The generosity behind this magical event helps us continue providing a beautiful, welcoming gathering place and free programming for millions of visitors each year.” 

She added, “We’re grateful to the Harrison family for their leadership and commitment to the Park, and we look forward to celebrating with Dallas next month.”

 Last year, Party in the Park welcomed nearly 1,000 attendees and raised approximately $1 million to support the Park’s daily operations and free year-round programming. Operated by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation, the 5.4-acre deck park relies on donor support to remain clean, vibrant and accessible to all. Each year, Klyde Warren Park offers more than 1,300 free programs for the community, made possible in large part by fundraising events like Party in the Park.
