What started out as several friends wanting to collect toys for Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center’s (DCAC) toy drive in 2020, has magnified into a huge community effort. This year marks the fifth FaLaLa Lakewood Christmas Toy Drive. But it’s not just any toy drive. It’s a parade that travels through the Lakewood streets, collecting thousands of toys. Almost a reverse toy drive, if you will! And this year, Sparkman Estates joins the giveback efforts, inspired by another neighborhood propelling JOY throughout the season for the families DCAC serves. This year marks the inauguration of FaLaLa Sparkman. On Saturday, December 7, Santa and his elves will drive through Lakewood and on December 14, they will drive through Sparkman Estates, collecting toys from front yards and loading them up into Santa’s sleigh to benefit the 2,500 children DCAC will serve this holiday season.
