Simmons honored for years of service

Jesse Simmons was honored with the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce 2019 Chairman’s Award at a luncheon on January 15 at Lakewood Country Club. The award is given annually to an individual for significant contributions to the Chamber through professional experience, community engagement and leadership. The Honorable Pete Sessions was in attendance and presented a presidential plate, which will be followed by a flag flown over the Capital building in his honor. Simmons works tirelessly behind the scenes and has been on the Chamber board for more than 10 years. He is hard working, positive, energetic and exemplifies what every Chamber Board member should strive to be like. He is also actively involved with 100 Men Who Give a Damn East Dallas and East Dallas Networking. — Deborah Brown
