Thousands of guests, ghosts and ghouls are expected to fill Klyde Warren Park for Trick-or-Treating in the Park, one of the city’s most popular family Halloween celebrations.

Free and open to the public, the fifth annual event takes place Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 10 p.m., and features candy collecting, costume contests presented by Haynes Boone, children’s book giveaways from Book Drive for Kids and a nighttime outdoor screening of “Wicked” presented by Laura and Lloyd Pierson in Honor of Scott K. Ginsburg.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, enjoy a picnic setting and visit the many food trucks parked along Food Truck Lane for delicious dinner options. More than 20,000 guests attended last year’s event.
As the presenting sponsor, Kroger is donating 125,000 pieces of candy for the spook-tacular night. Klyde Warren Park’s Corporate Council will host the celebration, staffing 30 trick-or-treating tables on the Ginsburg Family Great Lawn. The evening costume contest includes categories for Tots (ages 0-5), Kids (ages 6-12), Pets, Teens (ages 13-17), Adults (18+), and Group/Family.
Klyde Warren Park is located between Olive and Pearl Streets at 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas. For more details, visit klydewarrenpark.org/trick-or-treating-in-the-park.
