Throughout November, the Museum will host in-person field trips and outreach programs designed to connect more than 3,000 underserved sixth through 12th grade students across Dallas County with real-world STEM careers. Each event offers an inspiring glimpse into the world of STEM through interactive challenges, live demonstrations and career talks led by engineers, technicians and innovators shaping the future.

“STEM Career Day(s) are all about access and inspiration,” Rosalie Wade, director of education, said. “We want every student — especially those who may not otherwise see themselves in these fields — to meet professionals who look like them and are doing incredible things in STEM today.”

Each session features 30 to 45-minute career talks from STEM professionals representing companies such as Amazon, H-E-B, Airbus, Dallas College and other regional partners. The STEM Challenge includes a hands-on element making STEM careers tangible and exciting.

In 2024, the Museum’s education team reached more than 73,000 students through programs like STEM Career Day(s), with more than 60 percent of participants supported through financial aid. This year’s event builds on that success, reinforcing the Museum’s mission to make aerospace-STEM learning accessible for all.
