Tietze Park, a treasured park in East Dallas, caps off its centennial year with a blowout celebration on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. There will be live music, local vendors, demonstrations, a silent auction, bounce houses, face painting, gaming trucks, balloon artists, snow cones and more. It’s an opportunity to see the transformation of the park that happened this year: the installation of the new Sand Volleyball Court, the planting of 23 new trees, and the just completed Pollinator Garden and Monarch Way Station, courtesy of a grant from Lowe’s Hometowns. The Friends of Tietze Park Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit made up of volunteer neighbors and park users, whose mission is the improvement, preservation and continued beautification of Tietze Park in Dallas. — Amanda Schulz
